ABOUT US

OUR STORY

Since recent political developments, Europe is aiming to become a strong and connected entity. This is no different in the space industry. Companies and government bodies such as ESA and NSO have proclaimed that the Dutch space industry needs to develop and push innovation further. To achieve that, these same organisations are looking for new talent among students from all disciplines.

However, most of the non-space students are not at all aware of this possible path to a career in space! So how do we bridge this gap between industry and students? By an event that brings them together! The Curiosity Contest facilitates this, as it brings an opportunity for students to showcase their interests and compete in developing innovations for space to a jury of space professionals. At the final award event, the students can make contact with professionals and organisations in the space industry and so spark a valuable connection for a future career!

By students, for students. That is how we move forward!

”It is important that young people who are currently at mbo, hbo or university know that there are also prospects for them in space.” - NSO Director Harm van de Wetering
